Anyone know a good novel, on audiobook?

Not sure if any of you use audible.

Last "good book" thread I did, someone recommended "The Windup Girl." I read that one. Good book and worth it, though it falls apart toward the end.

I do audiobooks now. Thing with audio is the narrator makes a difference, so what's good in print may not be good on audio.

I just need a *good* novel. A really good one, I can get lost in.

I tend to like historical fiction, science fiction, or literary fiction. Doomy stuff would be fine but I've read a lot already. Point is, just a damn good *novel* and story.

I think I may want some literary fiction this go around, but I really want a good story, not overly pretentious. I tried looking at past pulitzer prize winners and found one gem -- some novel about North Korea, of all things, the point is a good very solid novel start to finish, doesn't matter what it's about.

Ideas?

The wife likes audio books. Her favorites are the works of Edgar Allen Poe, C.S. Lewis, Rudyard Kipling, and James Patterson. But I do catch her listening to L. Frank Baum's Oz books when she is in the mood for fantasy.

Conversations with God- by Neale Donald Walsh.

Kurt Vonnegut type of genre. The author was a homeless bum, who became a multimillionaire televangelist, he claims the content is 100% truth (Weird stuff):
