Where did you first learn about peak oil?

I learned about it from googling some random topics about the environment. I found it entirely by accident. I think learning about peak oil has really changed my life. I will have to change my life accordingly to the implications of peak oil, like all other human beings.

I didn't learn about peak oil until about 2 months ago after googling about some articles about the environment. I don't know how googling about the environment led me to discover about peak oil lol.

It is connected in many ways to many things. Energy in general is fundamental. I discovered the term in the early 2000's when researching something related to geopolitics. Been thinking along the lines ever since I had my drivers license sometime in the 1980's.

I viewed the 2009 film Collapse in 2010. I still believe it is an excellent introduction to the topic.

In 2004 I went to the first Peak Oil conference in the US held in Yellow Springs Ohio at Antioch College where I went to school several decades ago. I went mostly to visit my old school but to also participate in the event and then joined this forum a couple of months afterwards.

Yeah I think I first heard about peak oil from that movie about 3 months ago. That movie was pretty enlightening.
