In very concise words we are f??king up the planet to be able to have our current world economy. So this is a good article to point out that it goes way beyond global warming into all parts of our planet!

Given that capitalism is a function of history, the lack of intent would suggest that it is less of a Ponzi scheme and more a consequence of material conditions. This does not make it any more acceptable but does remove the obsession with laying blame. If blame can be laid, it is only to the extent that we are unable, as a species, to summon up sufficient objectivity that nature has endowed us in granting us sentience, to move beyond the base instincts that see the primeval struggle for access to resources being played out with devastating modern tools.
