As as a kid I was a technoptimist but now of course I am a signed up doomer.

Since I re-discovered peak oil I looked at loads of energy techs but nothing hits the spot of course. If we had developed gen 4 nuclear rather than pursuing the fusion fallacy (cmon theirs a reason stars have to be a certain size.) Maybe we could have put off this moment for a few years but que Sera Sera.

Congrats to MIT for both trying to get us to change our ways and then trying to save us when we did not.

Also the other day I had the pleasure of having an online conversation with Charles hall which is my peak oil claim to fame. His eroei insight was important and long overdue but it did burst our solar bubble.
