Well, I don't know, it's a scientific gallup poll. They called people up around the world, asked them their opinion of various nations' leadership in the world.
You can see USA numbers dipped during Iraq and Bush years.
The numbers went up, with Obama, then people around the world got a bit disappointed with Obama -- same as we Americans did.
You can see Russia's approval numbers, always already low, taking a nosedive when Putin starting pushing on neighbors.
The poll is just a fact and the reality of things and what people in the world really think. They approve of American leadership in the world, the most. Their opinion of Chinese leadership has been gradually falling, as China too has started doing things like seizing fisheries and building air bases on coral reefs, and claiming new exclusive zones in the sea, and being more aggressive in the world.
45% percent of people in the world approve of American leadership
China: 29%
Russia: 22%
EU: 39%
I just found this poll interesting, supposedly the world is so "anti american" and everyone wants America to step back and get out of the way and let China and Russia lead, or maybe the EU, yet when polled, the world approves of American leadership twice as much versus China-Russia, and they approve of us even more than the EU.
