Interesting article detailing how satellites are providing accurate measurements of fine particulate matter which is component of air pollution and can adversely affect human health. Note that the article stresses that while N.A. and Western Europe have seen reductions in this matter other regions particularly Asia have seen large increase. They also stress that this increase is mainly due to increase use of fossil fuels and agricultural burning. Just with all the new cars on the road in China that itself should have increases levels of this matter. Since this is part of atmosphere it can potentially affect anyone anywhere.
