Building a flying saucer

Unread postby Gsearch » Mon 19 Oct 2015, 13:12:10

Onlooker's thread concerns the existence of UFOs, their origins and their purpose on this planet. This thread concerns actually creating one.

If we were to build a UFO, it wouldn't have to be a saucer. It could be a triangle, a cigar-shape, a flying wing or a pyramid. All that matters is that it has the following characteristics:

It is able to levitate and move in all directions without conventional propulsion systems.

It must have an efficient power source.

It must be reliable and easy to use.

It needs to be practically silent.

It is able to carry one or more persons.

It must be capable of accelerating very quickly from stationary to supersonic speeds and without harming crew members.

-------------------------------------------

In this thead we discuss potential ways to produce such a device.

If UFOs are real, and not hallucinations, they must not rely on any publily known propulsion system. UFOs have been observed levitating silently, and accelerating to supersonic speeds without making any sound. They do not have rotors or turbines. Electromagnetic gravity induction seems like a viable idea, but there is no concrete evidence of how it supposed to work

Furthermore it is unlikey they rely on any acknowledged power source. It is hard to imagine a liquid fuel engine producing this kind of performance. One proposed method is the Karl Schappeller device.

When the IPO comes out on this flying saucer let me know. I'm looking for a good investment.

Nothing can go supersonic without making a sound, mere air resistance and the sonic barrier will create wind noise and a sonic boom.

One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Well, it's been observed and captured on radar before so it is possible. Either that or they are distorting time around them; giving the appearance of supersonic travel.

Please do not be bringing scientific principles into a discussion about UFO's. It will just upset people. K. Thanks.

There are electromagnetic currents in the air. If a UFO device works on electromagnetic propulsion, the electromagnetic field it genrates may cancel the effect of air resistance. It may even convert air directly in to plasma.

Tanada knows all the secrets of the universe. Good to have her on board.

Usually the main source of thrust in a flying saucer is anger! ;)

You can't build a UFO, it's impossible!
Why?
Because you know its identity. because you built it.

Superconducting shaftless gyroscope aerospace vehicle
CN 102390532 A
ABSTRACT
The invention discloses a superconducting shaftless gyroscope aerospace vehicle, which comprises a framework (1), a shell (2), a control cabin (3), rotors (4), stators (5), landing leg spray pipes (7) and a parabolic reverse thrust plate (6), wherein the stators (5) and the rotors (4) are divided into two parts, i.e. one part of an upper stator (13), an upper rotor (12), an inner stator (10) and another part of a lower rotor (15) and a lower stator (14); the lower part of the control cabin (3) is provided with a reflector lamp (9), the inner stator (10) and the parabolic reverse thrust plate (6); the inner periphery of the lower rotor is provided with a beam head (11); and the inner end of the lower stator (14) is provided with a spray head (8). The superconducting shaftless gyroscope aerospace vehicle can be used for both civil and military purposes, and is low-carbon and environmentally-friendly; the overall structure and the technical application are suitable for controllable nuclear energy fusion, supercomputing energy accumulators, low-frequency power generation and replacement of coal-fired boilers; and a series of bottleneck problems in economic restriction of development at present are solved.

Embodiments of the subject invention relate to a Wingless Hovering Micro Air Vehicle (WHOMAV) and its Power Source Unit (PSU). Embodiments can operate at reasonable power levels for hovering and withstanding expected wind gusts. Embodiments of the subject invention can have a diameter less than 15 cm. Embodiments can have one or more smooth (continuous curvature) surface and can be operated using electromagnetic and electrohydrodynamic principles. The wingless design of specific embodiments can allow operation with no rotating or moving components. Additional embodiments can allow active response to the surrounding flow conditions. The issue of low lift to drag ratio and degradation of airfoil efficiency due to the inability of laminar boundary layers attachment can also be significantly reduced, or eliminated. The electromagnetic force can be generated by applying a pulsed (alternating/rf) voltage between a set of grounded and powered electrodes separated by a polymer insulator, dielectric, or other material with insulating properties.

Tanada has always been gender non specific in these forums. The hot black chick icon & brainpower combo is pretty potent anyway, used to be her (my guess) trademark.

Is the OP going to put up some comparison UFOs we need to compete with?
