I will be at the RTR from Jan 5th through the 18th. I will be the guy in the coolest looking, old white van.
It is in Quartzsite, Arizona. Exact coordinates and directions on line (Rubber Tramp Rendevous).
All you need is a tent and a sleeping bag. It is in the middle of the desert, with no cost for camping.
If anyone wants to drink a few beers and discuss PO, just holler out Peak Oil at one of the nightly campfires. A lot of what I know, I learned from people smarter than me, over 3 or 34 beers.
Why argue over the internet - lets argue over some beer instead.
It might also be a good place for some of us, to talk to some of the folks in our country who have decided that they would rather live in a van down by the river, rather than participate in our traditional Muricun way of life. Of course, some were pushed out by the economy, or other problems, but many of them have valuable points to make.
Daily seminars on van living - solar installation, pooping in a bucket, etc, etc.
Yeah, I know, this may raise your carbon footprint. Just go home afterwards and plant a few hundred trees as penance.

The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.
