It's one thing to claim equality, it's another thing altogether to demonstrate equality. This short video explains the concept rather well.

A demonstration of the difference between equality of opportunity and equality of outcome. In a physical contest bigger stronger faster makes a difference. In math or science brain power is what matters most.
