What are your plans for Inauguration Day?

I will be creating an elaborate meal and my family will watch the proceedings in awe, as a new day begins for America. Many toasts to our good fortune will be made.

I'll be in Naples strolling down the ancient Via Spaccanopoli dodging crazy Italians on scooters while keeping one hand on my wallet to deter pickpockets.

No change from normal routine. I will check here for any interesting views on it, but as I wasn't happy with either choice offered, all I will be doing is fervently hoping President Trump will do a better job than I am expecting.

The changes we need require world-wide cooperation. With the right leadership, the US could possibly have helped that cooperation jell into something effective. But with Hilary we would have had a "everything is for sale, depending on the price" situation, and with Trump we get "There isn't actually anything wrong, it's great, it's all great. So good. So good."

In my opinion, neither can get the job done. We needed someone better.

Hope I'm wrong about Trump.

I'm actually somewhat pleased about the kick in the teeth given to those that just made assumptions about how the election was already settled.

A lot of people have been ignoring a deep and very real anger that has been stirring for some time.
Mr. Trump definitely knows people and was able to ride that wave of indignation right into the White house.

And in a few months we'll begin to see if he's up to the job.

It is not like he is going to make the world a better place. Then again, it is not like Hillary Clinton would have had the power to make the world a better place. Neither Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have the ability to create positive change. Any candidate for the White House is going to be a puppet for the corporatacy that runs the USA, ensuring that the rich will only get richer while the poor get poorer. If you think Donald Trump is actually trying to the president for the sake of helping out the common man, you are out of your mind because he choose to become the president for enriching himself and his fellow kleptocrats in office.

tl;dr: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton both suck and the USA is going down the toliet. Let's see how Trump will manage to mitigate the next economic crisis (assuming he is even capable of mitigating, which I doubt because he has been trained in the arts of pseudoscientific, capitalistic, never-ending growth based economics). The best Trump and his cronies on Wall Street/the Federal Reserve can do is print more MONEY to make it appear there is economic growth even though the economy is contracting due to contracting energy supplies.
