We have entered the Planetary Phase of Civilization. Strands of interdependence are weaving humanity and Earth into a single community of fate—the overarching proto-country herein christened Earthland. We were all supposed to be flying around in our personal hover crafts by now. At least, we do have our personal communicators at our side. Can't win them all. One depends upon raw energy and the other depends upon miniaturization. One-out-of-two is not bad, though.
