The world has gone mad. The ESPN announcer for a University of Virginia sports game is an asian man named Robert Lee. Because he shares a similarity of name to confederate Robert E Lee they've decided to remove him from his job at the game and give him another job! This is another example of the politically correct mentality gone mad!

Although it has been buried by previous white washing, the history of slavery is much more complex than skin colour. Indentured servitude was common during the 1800s and it was not some soft experience. Depending on the master a white could be treated worse than a black. And many people don't know that some US aboriginal tribes had black slaves. There were also blacks who owned slaves.

We take the current norm of no slavery or indentured servitude in the developed world for granted. Cherry picking the past to further modern political ambitions is grotesque.

For the left, especially the far left, it's more and more the Elizabeth Warren (screeching) mode. As if outrage that someone would have a different opinion on the subtleties of an issue is irrelevant if they disagree.

And then they wonder why the whole country doesn't just jump merrily on their bandwagon.

That'll happen just as soon as liberals stop supporting sacntuary cities used to blatantly skirt enforcement of illegal immigration laws. (The delicious irony here is the loud liberal whining over Trump's pardon of "sherrif Joe".)

Or as soon as liberals support a big CO2 tax, which actually seriously hits their own carbon spewing pocketbooks.
