Today there is a lot of news here in Poland about American police shooting and killing Black pregnant woman in her car.
This was few days ago.
To make matters worse officer was White.
So BLM time again, I suppose...
Being a local shop owner or store manager in Columbus (Ohio) I would be holing up!

EU,
One needs to think about that for a moment.
WHY is there a lot of news about this in Poland?
Or even IS there a lot of news about this in Poland or is it just the news sources you follow?

I am in Canada and using Ground News this event is not reported.

Switching my VPN to USA it still does not come up, even when narrowing my search to USA news.

It did come up yesterday and I glossed the story
A 37yo woman, 7 months pregnant, was in a car. A liquor store employee was at the car complaining she had shop lifted some booze.
2 police officers approached the car, one standing in front gun drawn, another at the window demanding she get out. Instead she drove into the officer in front who shot once. This may or may not result in riots depending upon which factions see it as a means to an end.

Which brings me back to my questions, which factions in Poland are pumping the story and to what end?

In Poland it is reported by top news outlet with millions of visits a day:
https://www.o2.pl/informacje/policja-po ... 609185408a
o2.pl is an equivalent of your online versions of NY Times or something alike.
Top mainstream.

In other outlets this story is also widely commented.
There are discussions about police violence and/or potential of further city burning once Blacks retaliate against state and general society for that.

Here it would be more usual to pull this lady out of car and arrest rather than shooting her.
And if she managed to escape by car then road block few hundred yards ahead would do.
It didn't happen in post WW II history of Poland that someone was killed by police for stealing a bottle (or even a lorry) of alcohol.

You are also possibly wrong regarding age of woman killed by police. According to all our outlets I mentioned she was 21.
Not that it makes any difference of course.
In the same town (Columbus) 2 years ago another policeman have killed teenager girl but this time she was armed with knife and dangerous to someone at least:

Which brings me back to my questions, which factions in Poland are pumping the story and to what end?

You already got an answer - our top mainstream online sources.
www.o2.pl is owned by Grupa Wirtualna Polska sp. zoo. who is our #1 by large margin internet news distributor.
https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/O2.pl
Again, this link is unfortunately in Polish and couldn't find an English version but any translator will do.

www.fakt.pl is an on-line version of our major tabloid - equivalent of British Sun or Mirror.

tvn24.pl is American owned internet news service.
Our government wanted to close their traditional tv broadcasting (TVN news) version by terminating broadcasting license. This was for failing to allow our officials to comment there on certain aricles two years ago but American government was intervening with threats that this would significantly deteriorate relations between countries and our government gave up, though they now have rather uphill here.

I heard about this story in the United States.

A pregnant woman, with a child in the car, is shot dead, over a bottle of booze. And, instead of people becoming outraged that a city employee killed someone over it, instead you get rationalizations and excuses why this type of behavior is okay. What 's worse, is people try to blame the victim.

It boggles the mind that an American (2 counting the baby) was killed over something so petty by a government employee.

These are the types who say nothing about the January 6th attempted takeover of Congress, but get on their hind legs about drug addicts in the street. They are quiet about immigrants stealing American jobs that lead to all this unemployment, deprivation, and poverty. Then, turn around and wonder why so many Americans commit desperate acts for resources.

If you disagree, you are a godless/communist/socialist/lazy/criminal who deserves to be killed by the local police for not following orders.

People in the United States haven't learned that the days of conspicuous consumption are finished. The supply chain is broken. That is why there are so many empty store shelves, empty stores, failing stores, failing malls, shortages, and high inflation. The stuff is running out (but the dollars are plentiful). Instead of coming together to work through this transition time, the typical moron wants to blame Americans for not behaving, instead of offering to help. It's these finger-pointers that I despise.

Baby Boomers were a generation of failures. There, I said it.

Yet, immigrants keep coming here.

And without burning few additional cities and ransacking thousands of Walmarts and other outlets in retaliation these attitudes of police won't change. Hence there is a good chance that destruction will proceed.
Behavior of police is a reflection of values and beliefs of population at large.
But if society is defunct as a whole, then police is defunct too.

It boggles the mind that an American (2 counting the baby) was killed over something so petty by a government employee.

They are used to do it and government pays them for that. They are also trained to do it. On the top of it victim was black so in minds of officers not a human really.
White lady doing the same would probably be arrested albeit I am not sure.

Society out there is largely defunct. To put it right (if possible at all) some degree of violence will be needed.
Drug addicts have to go off streets, immigrants who don't pull their weight have to be expelled home, bankrupt banks closed and manufacturing industry rebuild.
Nevertheless shooting pregnant ladies suspected of stealing of bottle of alcohol is not the way forward. Or shooting running teenagers because they don't stop upon police call which they don't even hear.
Such activities will cause retaliations.
Cities will burn, businesses will get vandalized and at some point police officers and other officials will be hunted down and killed too.

It's crazy how people think it's ok to resist the police. If you have a problem with an incident, you suck it up first and then you go and file a complaint about it and if need be take it to court. The idea to drive a car into an officer with a drawn weapon and think there's no danger of getting the short end of the stick is amazing. People are really dumber than doorknobs.

I was once pulled out of a car at gunpoint by police in switzerland. I was badly drunk, but only a passenger in the car. Yet even drunk I understood that this is not the time of being a smartass with the cops.

Here's the statistics of people shot by police by race. As usual it's europeans that take the hit, but no city is burning because of it.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/585 ... e-by-race/

Here's the statistics of violence against police.
https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-of ... ne-of-duty

60k officers assaulted in a year? No wonder they fire back some shots, sometimes.

Talked to the local police in my town. The sheriff said they approach negros and mexicans with velvet gloves. The risk of any kind of bad move will result in such shit storms for them that they don't want to risk anything. Not for europeans. Them europeans have been conditioned long enough to suck all up that's dished out.

Mousepad is 100% right.

This poor woman wasn't shot dead over a bottle of booze, as some falsely claim.

This woman resisted arrest and then tried to assault a police officer with her car.

Lets look at all the facts here.

First of all, this woman seems to be engaged in child abuse if she is drinking while pregnant. IF someone in her own family had done the right thing and helped her stop drinking or turned her in for child abuse they would've prevented this whole catastrophe.

Second, this poor woman clearly committed a crime when she stole the bottle of booze.

Then this poor woman committed another crime when she refused to cooperate with the officers. Its quite possible the officers would've given her a warning and told her not to shoplift anymore and let her go if she had cooperated, and if the officers noticed she was drunk or stoned or other drugs then they might have referred her to someone who could help her not abuse her unborn child by drinking alcohol and/or doing drugs while pregnant.

But then after refusing to cooperate the woman physically threatened the police officers with bodily harm by intentionally driving her car directly at one of them. Threatening to kill or maim someone with your car is a serious crime.

The police have a right to defend themselves when they are threatened with injury or death.

Citizens should obey the law....its not a difficult concept.

But in our modern world when a citizen attacks the police the police apparently aren't allowed to defend themselves from injury or death. One has to wonder who in their right mind would ever be a policeman or ever lift a finger to enforce the law if the police aren't allowed to defend themselves when they are attacked?

The police have a right to defend themselves when they are attacked.

If few people do that it is their problem, if few millions do that, it is police's problem and state problem... and if not resolved peacefully then burned cities will result as can already be seen in US after Floyd's case and more recently in France.
And if still not resolved peacefully then you will not find a place where you can do shopping because everything will be burned and ransacked.

60k officers assaulted in a year? No wonder they fire back some shots, sometimes.

Assault on officer charges are usually bogus, someone may answer back and end up charged with assaulting officer.
Out of these 60 thousands maybe 1-2 thousands required medical attention - these were real assaults on officer.

It seems that those who fight for themselves win.
As time pass Europeans (in Europe) will be replaced by ME and African ethnicities and in US - well in age group below 22yo Whites are no longer majority.
So times are changing.

I guess it's easier to see the dysfunction and mania of the United States as a dispassionate observer.

When you live in the middle of this looney bin, called the United States, it sometimes feels as if the whole world has lost its mind.

So, the cop was in so much danger that he suffered no injuries and no one was harmed, except the pregnant woman he murdered.

There is the concept of the ESCALATION OF VIOLENCE. In the mind of the psychopath, you can take minor violence (or perceived violence) and turn that into extreme and REAL violence. ... You didn't do what I said, so I can murder you.

You two sound like right-wing, authoritarian, death squad types. This kind of extremist violence is perfectly fine by you, as long as it is what you want. As soon as the violence goes a way you don't like, suddenly it is the greatest injustice to mankind.

There is no reasoning with these types. Words are a waste of time. The United States is headed for a collapse, and I am almost ready for it.

Police attitude reflects values of society.
In free societies police officers tend to be reasonable but in authoritarian one they tend to be psychopaths.
Free societies are eliminating psychopaths from police because they are causing far more harm than good and undermining trust in state and its institutions.
Authoritarian societies OTOH are nurturing psychopathic police officers because these are pillars of their existence.
So authoritarian societies are psychopathic in their very nature as without large numbers of psychopaths they simply cannot exist.
This is at some point leading to various groups of psychopaths contending each other followed by fast escalation of violence and collapse of said society.

The United States is headed for a collapse, and I am almost ready for it.

Entire Western world heads for collapse. There will be different flavors of this collapse in US, EU, Australia and elsewhere but for me it looks like entire social paradigm of West is broken.

Too many clans hating each other have formed,

Some very odd thinking going on here.

The police are sworn to serve and protect the public. Job #1.

A person who is exhibiting extremely poor judgement and clearly refusing to obey the law should not be driving around and risking the lives of other citizens. If she is unwilling to roll her window down and speak to police there is no reason to believe she will behave as a good citizen and obey traffic laws.

That she was being accused of stealing alcohol indicates she may have a bad addiction, perhaps she was drunk at the time.

Is the Policeman doing his duty by allowing her to go onto the street and drive around under these conditions? I think not, this could easily turn into a high speed chase which is very dangerous to others.

At the moment the car was stationary and not a danger. One officer went to talk to the lady, the other stood in front of the car to assure she would not take off and become a danger to those he was sworn to protect.

That she then drove into the officer proves she was in no fit state of mind to be driving around. The police officer did what he was sworn to do.

The one person who could have changed this situation at any time was the lady, all she had to do was comply with the Police.

If I am ever stopped by the police while driving I thrn off the radio, roll down the window, and sit with both hands on the too of the wheel. Then when he asks for my license and registration I say the license in my back pocket and the insurance is in the glove box. Can I get it? So he knows what I am about to do, no unexpected moves. And I never argue, if I want to argue I do it in court with the judge.

You must enforce law and order or you have an African jungle. If she'd gotten away with ramming a police officer with a lethal weapon what would she have done tomorrow? It's not like she'd be ignorant of the consequences of her action.

California is a shoplifters paradise. First, the state passed a proposition making any theft under $950 a misdemeanor. As if that weren't bad enough, the state's senate passed a bill in June that would actually make it illegal to interfere with shoplifters.

Why? It was explained by the government when all this began. They simply can no longer afford the cost of prosecution and jailing them. That's societal collapse and has little to do with politics and everything to do with collapse of Empire. In 10 years it will be a warzone like many Swedish cities are now.

The death of Swedish cities.

How a perfect storm of gangland chaos, segregated youth and a glut of weapons has turned Sweden into Europe's gun homicide capital.

Barely a day goes by in this wealthy Scandinavian country without a shooting or an explosion. In the early 2000s the number of annual gun homicides in the country was in single digits and one of the lowest in Europe. Now Sweden, with a population of just over 10 million, is a country that alongside Croatia has Europe’s highest gun homicide rate. Last year there were a record 391 shootings and 63 people shot to death, alongside 90 explosions involving hand grenades and home-made explosives. Already this year there have been 71 shootings, injuring 19 people and killing 7, as well as 38 explosions.

With rising gang warfare involving guns and explosives on the streets of other seemingly peaceful northern European nations, and innocent bystanders being caught in the crossfire, it’s a part of Europe now facing an existential threat from the kind of gangland executions and creeping corruption many associate with Mexican cartels or the Italian mafia. But unlike Belgium and the Netherlands, whose massive cocaine smuggling ports have turned them into a magnet for violent international crime gangs, Sweden’s bullet-strewn crime wave has seemingly come out of nowhere.

https://www.vice.com/en/article/pkayj7/sweden-gun-gangs

Hellholes! That's the future of the cities, across all the world. No sane person would consider a future in one, but alas the people are not sane, they are riddled with mental disorders. These disorders are legion; Confirmation Biases, Previous investment psychologies, delusions inspired by politicians who live in secure gated estates.

They are mindless slaves to their own selfish desires, the idea of moving far from the bright lights is repugnant to most. Where will I work? How will I support my family? What they really mean by these statements is
"How will afford my lavish lifestyle out there?"
"How will I survive without all the modern conveniences, without my fast food and football stadiums"
"I have never driven on a dirt road, I couldn't do that, I won't even go camping"
"I'm too old, I need to be near medical facilities"

I have heard all these justifications and more but none of them justify of living in a shooting gallery. Time is running out for all these people, the push that began during the covid lockdowns has already seen available homes in safer rural towns vanish off the market. And these localities are small, they only have limited stock and once it's gone so is the opportunity to flee the city to anything like a normal modern life. When they are gone all there will be left is empty rural blocks far from food and water and the security of close neighbors. Hellholes of a different stripe.

You do but some people don't.
And if shot (or suffocated), then thousands of other people are burning your cities.
Can be done in America too - have seen many hours of documentaries about it.
What can you do about it?
More shooting on them and full blown civil war will result.
Police will be crushed because these people are armed too, they know where local policemen live, who they are, who are their families etc.
So you will need to resort to military... where lots of personnel is from already discontented ethnic minorities etc.

Your logic about police duty could easily be turned upside down like that:

1.Police officers challenged someone over bottle of booze in car.
2. Suspect ignored them
3. To prevent possible high speed chase they shot him.
4. As a result thousands of rioters burned dozen of police stations, ransacked few thousands of businesses, burned part of city hall and caused death of 20 bystanders by attacks, accidents etc.

So what is better?
That or maybe one high speed chase?
How the quarrel started?
Over a bottle of booze?
Is it worth to have whole city burned and businesses ransacked over a bottle of booze, or are there more intelligent ways to deal with a problem?

You will fail to govern those who simply refuse to be governed if there are millions of them, armed, hostile to you and have nothing to lose.
You may or may not succeed in killing them but you will never govern.

Re: The Death of Cities

We are not dealing in unspecified suppositions, well at least I am not.

I try to take these instances one at a time and not over generalize.

There was an old TV show popular here in the states called Dragnet. The hero was a dead pan detective, never cracked a smile. But ironic. His tag line, still in use was ….. “Just the facts Mame.”

And that is the way it should be for once you deviate and over generalize then you can spin any kind of wild tale chasing any rabbit down any dam hole you please. It is using structured thinking and logic.

If you believe that was ever the case in the United States, then I guess there is no discussion with you.

Maybe an African jungle is better than what exists now in the United States.

It's this attitude of being better just because you're you that has so many Americans living in denial.

And by the time they realize they didn't EVER have what they thought they had, the opportunity to change will have been long lost.

I won't shed a single tear.

theluckycountry wrote:Why? It was explained by the government when all this began. They simply can no longer afford the cost of prosecution and jailing them. That's societal collapse and has little to do with politics and everything to do with collapse of Empire. In 10 years it will be a warzone like many Swedish cities are now.

Who did this? Indian storekeepers. The immigrants are the only ones left with any balls.

It's the dirty filthy immigrants that caused the problems in the first place. And, the media keeps promoting this trash to push the pro-illegals policy to sabotage American workers and promote the rentier agenda.

What? America needs immigrants to run shops? The United States keep dumping this trash in cities that already have too much poverty. Why don't they put them in Wyoming, Idaho, Nebraska, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Utah, or Montana? They always put this scum in the already most populated areas to steal resources from the Americans who are already suffering.

I despise these immigrant leeches. Why don't they fix their own countries before coming to mine?

You may or may not succeed in killing them but you will never govern.

This understanding seems to be lost in the United States.

These are not wild tale chases only observations of proven behavior of large proportion of American public based on G. Floyd case.
The clear evidence is that stupid police behavior have resulted in massive riots and ransacking of multiple cities, burning police stations etc.

So there are things police cannot do anymore and if you cannot learn it base on available observations then you will have to learn it in a hard way.
In eyes of large minorities (Black and Latinos) your police is not provider of law and and order only enemy occupant.

These minorities are becoming to be a majority (in <22 y.o. age group they already are and within ~20 years they will outnumber Whites in general).
Structure and values of American society are changing so state need to adapt or it will end up very badly for all.

As long as objection is to keep US as a single entity it is very important for US government to integrate Black and Latinos with White population, but certainly NOT in a woke way which is plain cretinism causing much more antagonisms and other problems than possibly resolving.

As observed from outside, current American policy is to invite millions of immigrants from impoverished countries and then act in such a way to antagonize them as much as possible, so they can form alternative communities living on American soil but never integrate.
The same is going on in Europe btw and as time pass situation here may turn even more hopeless than it is in US.
Somehow I still see Mexicans to be more American alike than Arabs are Europeans.
Problem with Arabs is in their religious diligence what is causing them to see native Europeans as barbarians not worth to mix or work with in any other way than raping white women if opportunity arisen.
European social security systems are seen by them an an outlets facilitating infidels paying due taxes to Muslim believers.
They have such a concept in their culture and special taxing of non-Muslims were widely practiced there.
So the clusterfuck in Europe is likely to turn even worse.

Be careful what you write.
Your politicians might read it and get some ideas what to do.

At the moment American population still has different areas to compare, so it is possible to find what works and what doesn't.
But once all areas are made the same it will no longer be possible.
